Ramblings of a Madman
Published on January 23, 2009 By Johnnygnote In MyColors

Hello to all, I recently downloaded MyColors and love it I also am using Bootskin, DesktopX, and LogonStudio. Up until now I was using Alienguise, that i like very much, which I understand is based on MyColors technology. After installing MyColors and using it I wanted to go back to one of my ALienGUise themes and found that AG no longer functions, all I get is an error with the apps name and a big red x with question marks in a row. Does anyone know of a fix for this or a way to import the AlienGUise themes in to MyCOlors or any other way to use both? I would appreciate any help. I'm looking forward to using more of the apps from Stardock and creating my own Themes, Logons and Boot screens.

Thank in advance

Your best bet is probably to start up a ticket with support here:

https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit

They're Mon-Friday, so you'll get a quick automated response but then no real response until Mon or Tue.  Don't reply to the email or keep re-sending, it re-sets you in their queing order.

Kind of a lame response on my part I know, but I hate to see this sit here for days.  In the meantime maybe somebody will come along with an idea.

Thanks DaveRI, your response is not lame, any response is better than none  and actually it's a good idea. Thanks again

If I'm not mistaken, you can't use both. One overwrites the other. This has been my experience.

Thanks PDJ, I thought about what you said and I took a closer look, both apps are named exactly the same ThemeMgr. so you are correct. Oh well I'm going to have to decide what to do about this. I do l ike my AlienGuise stuff. By the way I like your work, very prolific too. Thanks for your reply and your talents.
